This new indicator is displayed in the results table when there
is a price paid/value stated entry against the property. There will be Price
information on the registers of most properties, which have
changed hands since April 2000.
The Price Paid has been entered on the register since 1 April 2000 and
represents the consideration or price shown in the transfer deed lodged with
us. Where a transfer deed is silent as to the consideration or price paid, we
enter the value of the property based on information included in the
application form. The price paid or value stated has not been verified by us
and may not represent the full market value of the property.
I am still interested in knowing when the title register was
last updated. How can I do this?
The "last updated" date is displayed in a copy of the title
register. This can be downloaded from this site.
I would like to know whether my property has been registered
in my name. How can I find this out?
Proprietorship details are available in a copy of the title
register. This can be downloaded from this site.
How do I know if a property is registered?
There will be a message in the results table telling you if
there is information available on the property you are interested
in. By clicking on this link you will be shown what information is
available for purchase. If you require information about addresses
found that have a note, which tells you there is no information
available, you can post a request to us for a manual search,
called a search of the index map. You can complete a search of the index map
form online (instructions will be provided on screen).
I am interested in lodging an Official Search or applying
for an Official Copy. How can I find out the title number to
complete my application form?
Land Registry keeps an index of every registered title and
pending application for first registration and any person may
apply to search the index map using a Form SIM.
The purpose of a SIM is to find out whether or not a property
is registered and, if so, to obtain the title number.
Any person may apply for an official search of the index map.
Applications may be made by post, fax, Land Registry Direct,
National Land Information Service (NLIS), through Telephone
Services, or orally at the public counter. Any number of
properties may be described on one application form. It is limited
only by the administrative area of each Land Registry Office.
However, please be aware that if you download the application form
from Land Register Online, the number of properties that can be
described on that application form is one only.
How long do I have to wait for my SIM result?
Land Registry aims to complete all SIM applications within two
days where possible.
I represent a commercial organisation wishing to obtain

Developers and Estate Agents. If you represent such an
organisation and your request is of a commercial nature concerning
